Founded in 1925 as a mathematics library, the library with its beautiful architecture is located since 1957 in the Manchester House at the Safra Campus.
The library combines a rich and growing collection of thousands of electronic and print resources, databases, theses and dissertations.
The Emery and Claire Yass Library of Archaeology, located in the Institute of Archaeology building, is part of the Library Authority of the Hebrew University.
A total rebuilding and renovation of the library has been completed in 2003, thanks to a generous donation by Australian Friends of the Hebrew University, the late Emery and Claire Yass.
The Bernard G. Segal Law Library is located on Mount Scopus in the impressively beautiful David Wolffsohn Building.
The Education Library started its journey in Terra Santa, in 1958 it was moved to Givat Ram and in 1975, after the renewal of the campus on Mount Scopus, the library moved to the building of the School of Education where it resides to this day. The libraries of Social Work and Jewish Education were also situated in the same building. In 2003 the three libraries merged into one library which is part of the Library Authority.
The Library of Agriculture, Food and Environment was established in 1972 by combining several departmental libraries, in the Kennedy Leigh Building at the heart of the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the Rehovot campus of Hebrew University.
In 2011, the building was renovated by architect Vivi Astrinsky; the Berl and Agnes Ginges Library Information Center was established in the architectural spirit of the other libraries at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The Berman Medical Library is located in the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical Center School, Ein Kerem, Jerusalem. The library serves research staff and students of the Faculties of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, public health and occupational therapy, and the clinical academic staff in the hospital.
